what to pack for your trip to bali: a checklist for men & women
The All-Encompassing Bali Checklist You Didn't Know You Needed
everything you need to pack for a trip to bali
Planning a trip to Bali can be both exciting and overwhelming at the same time. Not only do you need to plan where to visit, but you need to also think about where to stay, what methods of transportation you'll use- the list goes on and on. Unfortunately, one of the things that typically falls to the bottom of this list is packing! So many people wait until the very last second to pack, only to arrive at their destination and find that they've forgotten countless vital items that they now need to purchase. That's where I come in! Lucky for you, I am a huge packer and planner, and I've composed an all-encompassing list for BOTH men and women to use when visiting Bali. Use this easy checklist and make the most of your valuable pre-trip time by planning and getting excited instead of stressing over the packing part!
AVERAGE TEMPERATURES IN BALI MONTH-TO-MONTH
How can you possibly plan a trip without knowing the average highs and lows during the month(s) that you'll be there? If you're traveling to a tropical climate, like Bali, it can also be super helpful to understand the chances of rainfall. Below displays a chart that outlines the average monthly temperature in Bali, so you can plan around the weather!

WHAT TO PACK FOR BALI: FEMALE VERSION
Whether you're traveling to Bali during the wet season or the dry season, here is a packing list that will give you everything you need for a two week trip to Bali:
WHAT TO PACK FOR BALI: MALE VERSION
If you're a man who is looking for a quick little packing list for your two week trip to Bali, take a look at the simple list below:
EXTRAS TO PACK DURING THE WET SEASON
Traveling between November-April? This is the wet season in Bali, where it can rain anywhere between 12-25 days of the month. Fortunately, this rain doesn't typically last all day so you can expect short spells of rain for a couple of hours in the afternoon and during nights. Some extras to pack in preparation for this are a rain jacket, mini umbrella, and a waterproof bag.
EXTRAS TO PACK DURING THE DRY SEASON
During the dry season, there aren't necessarily any specific items to pack. Instead just focus on lightweight, breathable clothing as well as hats and sunscreen. Be ready for humidity and larger crowds, since May-October is the most popular time for tourists to come and visit.
WHAT TO PACK FOR SPECIFIC OCCASIONS
If you're visiting Bali for any of the following occasions, you might want to add a few extra things to your suitcase! For a special celebration or event, consider packing a dress or formal attire. If you're planning on exploring Bali's diverse landscapes, don't forget to bring hiking shoes, a lightweight jacket, and a daypack for your outdoor adventures. For specific advice, read the tips below:
WHAT I WORE FOR A TRIP TO BALI IN JANUARY
I'm one of those crazy people who lovessss to plan my outfits for trips. I make a list of all the places I'm visiting, restaurants I'm eating at, etc and then decide which outfit will be best for which day. Some of my favorite outfits from this trip to Bali that were "extras" I packed included some edgy joggers with a basic tube top and black bandana for motorcycle pictures, a jungle-themed bathing suit to wear during waterfall visits, and a long komono to wear during fancier dinners. I also packed plenty of cheap two-piece outfits (like the one you'll see below with elephants all over it for feeding the elephants), basic tube tops and tank tops, and a pair of overalls. While its not pictured, I also wore a ton of big T-shirts and my favorite pair of jean shorts for the beach and any time my friends and I were just hanging around the Airbnb.
