Hi! My name is Rachael Steck. While most call me Rach, Rachy, or Chelly, I'm better known as one of Connecticut's descriptive day dreamers, sunset chasers, and international travelers. When asked how I turned into such an adventure seeker and adrenaline junkie, I always say that my love for travel and adventure never “began”- it just was.

When I was younger, my parents would have to drive around for hours just to get me to sleep. As I got older, it was a well-known fact that before you left the house, you always asked if I wanted to come with you. Mom is going to the grocery store? I’m coming. Dad is plowing driveways all night? I’ll change into my PJ’s and make us hot chocolate, and then we’ll be ready. I inherited my Dad's internal drive and constant need to be working on something. There was never a moment where I changed into this person who couldn’t stop moving, it was just always part of me, a boat constantly being pushed by the current in wondrous directions.

These days, odds are if you’re driving around town, you’ll often see me with windows down, sunroof open, and music blasting as I shout out the lyrics and drive absolutely nowhere. And while these roots still derive from the same place they did in me as a child, they’ve bloomed quite a bit. Today, there’s nothing more invigorating to me than seeing the world, meeting new people, and making memories that will last a lifetime. I have a passion for living life cinematically and to the fullest and my travels continue to bring me to a number of beautifully complex regions across the planet- and I want you to come along for the ride!

You Ask & I Answer

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How old are you?

I'm currently 24 years old! My birthday is in late September.

  • Where was the first place you visited?

The first international destination I went to was either Canada or Costa Rica. To be honest with you, I don't remember which came first! I think it was Canada to visit Niagra Falls with my dad's side of the family when I was in my teens.

The first destination I went to WITHOUT any "adults" or "parents" was a 10-day trip to Scotland and Iceland with my brother Ryan and friends Sam and Alexa. We went in January of 2018.

  • Do you actually have a twin?

Yes! I have a twin brother named Ryan and before you ask, yes, we are very close. While we don't go on every single trip together, he goes where I go majority of the time when traveling.

We also have a younger sister who is only a couple years younger than us, and a little brother.
